Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro climb The East Africa Mountains with the Highest peaks.

Africa Climbing, Mount Kenya climbing and Mount Kilimanjaro climbing, Mt Kiliamanjaro to Africa Highest peak and Mt Kenya second highest peak. Mt Kilimanjaro one of the East Africa Mountains at an altitude of 5895m, the highest freestanding mountain in the world and one of the seven summits.

Africa's highest summits - offering you a stunning variety of landscape, wildlife and culture. The combination of Mt Kenya and Mt Kilimanjaro offers you an exiting African holiday where you start by acclimatizing on Mount Kenya (on equatorial location) to a smooth summit at Mt Kilimanjaro UHURU PEAK.
Taking the challenge to conquer the East Africa top peaks even for fit and experienced hikers but with pride of a truly rewarding ultimate African adventure.

DAY 1: NARO MORU
Depart from Nairobi at 09:00hrs and proceed South towards the cool slopes of Mt. Kenya. Cross the Equator and arrive at Nanyuki hotel/ Lodge in time for Lunch. Relax and Enjoy the lodge the climate of Mt kenya and scenery while sorting and organizing personal equipment for the mountain trek. A COMPLIMENTARY walking tour to the EQUATOR. Dinner and overnight at Simbas Lodge.

DAY 2: MET. CAMP SITE
Drive to Naromoru Gate and then walk to Met station road head at 11,000 ft. An en. Overnight Met station camp. Here we spend the night in high altitude mountain tents. 9kms 3-4 hrs walk.

DAY 3: Mackinders Camp
After Break we ascend the Mackinders and spend the night camped in this beautiful little valley below subsidiary peaks of point john and diamond cooler. Overnight stay Mackinders. 15 kms 5-6 hrs walk

DAY 4: MACKINDER CAMP -Summit Pt Lenana
Climb out of the point lenana the to mintos for breakfast then down to chogoria park gate Banda’s for overnight. 18 kms from mintos.5-6 hrs walk

DAY 5: Chogoria bandas-chogoria town
Decsend from Banda’s to chogoria town with option of walking half way taking 4x4.walking is 7 hrs with drive 2 1/2 hrs. Drive to Nairobi. Overnight at comfort inn hotel

DAY 6: Drive back to Nairobi
1400 hrs Board shuttle bus from Nairobi at 0800 hrs and proceed to Arusha arriving at 1300hrs. Depart for Moshi at 1400hrs arriving at 1530hrs. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Moshi or (Pick up from Kilimanajaro airport and transfer to hotel in Moshi)

DAY 7: Machame Gate (1490m) - Machame camp (2980m)
Hiking time: 7 hours
Distance: About 18 km's
Habitat: Montane forest
Transfer from your hotel to the Kilimanjaro National Park gate at Machame. From here, you trek through the lush forest to Machame hut. Overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 8:Machame camp (2980m) - Shira camp (3840m)
Hiking time: 6 hours
Distance: About 9 km's
Habitat: Moorland
Leave the forest. The path follows a steep ridge passing through open moorlands crossing a large gorge to reach Shira hut. Overnight stay at the camp

DAY 9:Shira (3840m)-Lava Tower (4630m)-Barranco camp (3950m)
Hiking time: 7 hours
Distance: About 15 km's
Habitat: Semi desert
You turn Eastwards and continue ascending through the dry landscape before dropping again to reach Barranco hut. Overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 10:Barranco camp (3950m)- Barafu camp (4550m)
Hiking time: 7 hours
Distance: About 13 km's
Habitat: Alpine desert
The path climbs steep out of the Barranco valley and crosses the Karanga valley, then turns North to reach Barafu Hut. Overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 11: SUMMIT ATTEMPT
Barafu camp (4550m)-Uhuru Peak (5895m)-Mweka (3100m)
Hiking time: 8 hours to reach Uhuru Peak
7/8 hours to descend to Mweka
Distance: About 7 km's ascent - 23 km's descent
Habitat: Stone screen and ice-capped summit
Along day with an early start to reach the crater, ream at the Stella point in time for sunrise, then to Uhuru peak, the highest point in Africa. After wards, descend to Gilman's point and down to Horombo hut. Over night, stay at the camp

DAY 12
Descend down passing Mandara hut to the gate where you are transferred back to your hotel in Moshi for dinner and over night.

DAY 13
After breakfast board shuttle bus from your hotel and proceed to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon (6.30 PM).
