PRESIDENTIAL HERITAGE SAFARI KENYA    

4 DAYS PRESIDENTIAL HERITAGE SAFARI    

Day 1: Nairobi - Kisumu Leave Nairobi for Kisumu either by flight or by road. once you are in Kisumu we will transfer you to your hotel for check in and briefing of the itinerary. We will customize or tailor make your hunting safari which will include a boating excursion on lake Victoria.    

Day 2: Kisumu - Ndere Island National Park After breakfast trek to the lake shore or the yacht club, then take a boat to Ndere Island National park. According to Luo legendary story Ndere (meeting place) is where Mikaye the mother of the Luo rested after along journey down the Nile to the Lake Victoria before reaching her home Kit - Mikaye. The day is spent in search of the lake's largest crocodiles, Hippos, monitor lizards, birds, water antelopes etc. Enjoy fishing and taste your catch for dinner. Lunch in the lake on the boat. Overnight stay at Kiboko Bay Tented lodge or at Sunset hotel in Kisumu.    

Day 3: Kisumu -Kogelo Village After breakfast we proceed to Nyang'oma Kogelo is a village in Siaya District, Nyang'oma Kogelo is the ancestral home of Barak Obama Snr the father to U.S.A PRESIDENT BARAK OBAMA.   The village has a primary school and a high school named after (Senator Obama Secondary School) There is also a health centre. The village is linked by road to Kisumu town. It is a typical Kenyan rural village with most residents living modestly by small-scale farming    

Day 4: Kisumu - Nairobi In the morning after breakfast explore the Lake shore and then transfer back to Nairobi by flight or by road. This itinerary can be tailor made to continue to other areas of interest as per the requirement of the client.    

Programme 02.    

7 DAYS PRESIDENTIAL HERITAGE SAFARI ( ROAD PACKAGE PACKGE)   

Day 1: Kisumu City Excursion After arriving in Kisumu by air from Nairobi at about 8.30am, you will be met by our tour manager and a guide who will then take you to your hotel for check-in, briefing and late breakfast . The day is spent visiting the various attractions of this Lakeside City including the Local museum which is rich in cultural and archeological artifacts, the impala Park, the Kiboko Bay to see the hippos,children's homes, the pier, the City Market and the Fish Market, Riat hills for a panoramic view of the Kisumu City and Lake Victora. Lunch at Tilapia Beach Resort by the shores of Lake Victoria or Kisumu Beach Resort. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. (Kisumu City Tour by night for those who like some fun as they sample the delights of this Western Kenya City - optional)  

Day 2: Kisumu City - Got Ramogi - Kamito(Aram) After breakfast depart for Kit Mikaye (the rock that has a story to tell that is steeped in the mythology of the Luo people),Take a boat ride from Kaloka beach to Ndere island National park where you will see wild animals,birds and Reptiles and back to Kaloka beach. Continue to Usenge on the shores of Lake Victoria via the Late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga's mausoleum -Kan'go ka jaramogi, attempt to climb Got Ramogi- Hill (the home of the grand grand father of the luo community when the luo tribe first settled on Lake Victoria) in the afternoon after a lunch of fresh fish and other savories that include local fare. Drive back to kamito beach. The evening is spent listening to fork-lore by a campfire on the shores of the lake even as your meal or mutton or lamb roasts on a spit in the open. Overnight in a middle class hotel, on a campsite or home stays in an ambassadorial posh rural home on the shores of Lake Victoria.    

Day 3: Kamito(Aram) - Luanda Kotieno- Mbita After an early visit to the shores of Lake Victoria to see the swarming market as fishermen and other trades-people sell their wares we travel to Luanda kotieno beach ready to board the ferry to Mbita Point, a major center for insect study that hosts the International Center for Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE), this is a 45 minutes ride on Lake Victoria gulf.The day is spent at mbita with a boat ride to Takawiri or mfangano Islands in lake victoria and a drive cross the causeway to Rusinga Island famous as a bird watchers' island and also home to the late Tom Mboya a prominent Kenyan politicians who was assassinated in 1969 and whose remains were interred in a Memorial Mausoleum on the island. We partake of lunch on the island before driving to Lake Victoria Safari Village for dinner and an overnight stay at the beautiful lakeside resort-Lake Victoria Safari Village.    

Day 4: Lake Victoria Safari Village This day is engaged in investigating the local peoples' culture and visiting the market place and either Climbing one of the nearby hills to see the golden sunset over Lake Victoria even as the panoramic view of the lake's islands and the vast expanse of this great inland sea unfolds before your eyes or Spend the day fishing on the Lake together with the local fishermen or Take a boating trip to explore the nearby islands of Lake Victoria or Relax on the hotel grounds and take a break from the safari itinerary. At sunset you are entertained by local traditional dancers and story tellers. Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.    

Day 5: Mbita Point - Homabay An early drive further south after breakfast to Ruma National park , game drive followed by lunch at Ndhiwa then continue to Thim Lich Ohinga then to Gogo falls. Drive to Awendo in the centre of sugarcane plantation. A tour of the sugar cane plantation is followed by dinner and overnight at Awendo.    

Day 6: Nyang'oma Homabay - Kisumu we proceed to Nyang'oma Kogelo is a village in Siaya District, Nyang'oma Kogelo is the ancestral home of Barak Obama Snr the father to U.S.A PRESIDENT BARAK OBAMA.     The village has a primary school and a high school named after (Senator Obama Secondary School) There is also a health centre. Programme 03    

9 DAYS PRESIDENTIAL HERITAGE SAFARI ( ROAD PACKGE)    

Day 1: Drive to North Samburu Game Reserve. Overnight at Samburu Lodge/Larsen tented Lodge. B/L/D.    

Day 2: Full day in Samburu Game Reserve. Overnight at Samburu Lodge/Larsen Tented Lodge. B/L/D.    

Day 3: Drive to Outspan Hotel for Lunch. Transfer to Tree tops for nocturnal floodlit game viewing B/L/D.    

Day 4: After breakfast in the Outspan Hotel drive into the great Rift Valley for Lunch and a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The night will be spent at Lake Naivasha Country Club. B/L/D.    

Day 5: Drive to Keekorok Lodge in the Masai Mara. Overnight at Keekorok Lodge. B/L/D.    

Day 6: Full day in the Masai Mara. Overnight at Keekorok Lodge. B/L/D.    

Day 7: Kisumu, Lake Victoria. Return to Nairobi, arriving before Lunch.

11 DAYS PRESIDENTIAL HERITAGE SAFARI ( ROAD PACKGE)    

Day 1. Nairobi/The Ark Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya to Aberdare Country Club, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon transfer to The Ark for overnight floodlit game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the tree hotel.      

Day 2. Sweetwaters Depart the Ark after breakfast for Sweetwaters Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters, Sweetwater's Tented Camp lies in the heart of privately owned Sweetwater's Game Reserve, in the Mount Kenya National Park, enjoying magnificent views across the game studded plains to the snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya,you can have Wildlife Game Drives Safari Walking Culture Honeymoon Photography Birding Luxury Tented Camp Cuisine Day Tour Swimming Pool Horse Riding. Accommodation is provided in luxuriously appointed tents, with en suite facilities and private veranda. Each tent overlooks the waterhole. Within the quaint original farmhouse is the dining room, bar and reception area.    

Day 3. Sweetwaters Spend a full day at this private sanctuary. Other than game drives, other optional activities include nature walks, horse riding, camel riding and night game drives. Meals and overnight at the Sweetwaters    

Day 4. Lake Nakuru. Leave sweewaters after Breakfast and proceed to Lake Nakuru still exploring the dramatic Rift valley. Arrive in time for lunch and afternoon game drive.Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge/Sarova lion hill lodge.    

Day 5. Maasai Mara. Breakfast and depart crossing the Loita Plains and viewing sceneries enroute, See red clad spear wielding Masai warriors tending their multi-colored herds among the presence of wild game .Arrive Mara for Lunch. Afternoon game drive inside the Park which is the Kenya's best and most scenic. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/Keekerok Lodge.    

Day 6.Maasai Mara. After breakfast, leave with picnic lunches for a Full day game viewing inside the Park.Optional visit to the Maasai villages for an insight to their culture. All meals and overnight at a Mara Sopa Lodge/Keekerok Lodge.    

Day 7. Maasai Mara. Full day in Mara to savour the beauty of the park in your morning and afternoon game drives. Search for wild game that you might have missed in your previous game drives. All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/Keekerok Lodge.    

Day 8. Maasai Mara - Kisumu After breakfast, leave with picnic lunches for a Full day game viewing inside the Park.Optional visit to the Maasai villages for an insight to their culture. All meals and Overnight stay at Kiboko Bay Tented lodge or at Sunset hotel in Kisumu.

Programme 05    

12 DAYS PRESIDENTIAL HERITAGE SAFARI KENYA    

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi Arrive In Nairobi and make your way to Nairobi safari clubl. A pre departure group meeting will be scheduled with your tour leader. You will then go for Nairobi City Excursion. Lunch at Carnivore Restaurant. Dinner at the Nairobi Hilton.    

Day 2: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha We head out in the morning after breakfast and drive through the rich Kikuyu farmland to the edge of the Rift Valley. We then ascend the escarpment and drive via Great Rift Valley view points. Stopping along the way for photographs. You will continue driving towards one of the Great Rift Valley fresh water lakes and at lunch time you will stop at the Lake Naivasha Hotel. Lunch at the Lake Naivasha Hotel. The afternoon will be full of Site seeing around the lake including a visit to the Hell's Gate. Overnight at the Lake Naivasha Hotel.    

Day 3: Crater Lake Walk After breakfast at 7.00am you will be picked up by our driver at 8.00am. The road to the Crater Lake takes you out of Naivasha and along road down the edge of Lake Naivasha, passing by huge greenhouses where roses and other flowers are grown for the export market. You will arrive at the Crater Lake by mid-morning and begin your game walk. The Crater Lake was formed by volcanic activity. On its shores, you can get up close to giraffes and many varieties of antelope. The guides will answer questions about the animals and point out quaint rocks formed by volcanic activity. At noon you will be taken for lunch to Fisherman's Camp about 20 minutes back down the road toward Naivasha town. This is a lovely game-viewing camp on the shore of Lake Naivasha which has a large resident bird population including the Ibis, Lovebirds, Fish Eagle and Hoopoe, as well as the Black and White Colobus monkey. After lunch you will have some free time. You could sit back at the campsite bar and enjoy a cold drink and a game of pool or participate in some optional activities, like cycling around the village, or hire a small power boat for a trip out on the lake. Overnight at the Lake Naivasha Hotel in Naivasha.    

Day 4: Naivasha - Lake Nakuru After breakfast, depart Naivasha at 9.00am for the Lake Elementeita viewpoint, then continue into Nakuru. Once checked into the Merica hotel, the group will get themselves some lunch and explore the town of Nakuru. There is a great curio market in town, so you will be free to wander around the market and sample local snacks). In the early afternoon, you will be driven to Menengai Crater just 30 minutes away by a bumpy road. The crater's rim is located 2490m above sea level, offering panoramic views of both Lake Nakuru and Lake Bogoria. You can spend as little or as long as you like at the crater before heading back towards Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is home to possibly a million pink Flamingos and over 500 other species of birds, both migratory and local. Overnight and dinner at Merica Hotel    

Day 5: Nakuru National Park We will be up early and leave the hotel at around 7.00am so we can arrive at the park's entrance by 7.30am. We will game drive looking for the elusive leopard before enjoying a brunch in the park. We will then continue on in search of black and white rhino, lion, buffalo, impala, Thompson gazelle and warthog. The Nakuru National park is famous for its introduced Rothschild giraffe and a sizeable leopard population, not to mention possibly the most incredible bird spectacle on the planet, the massive numbers of greater and lesser flamingo. Overnight and dinner at Merica Hotel  

Day 6: Nakuru - Bogoria - Baringo After an early breakfast, you will check out from the hotel at 7.30am. You will be driven to Lake Baringo which is famous for abundant bird life. More than 500 of Kenya's recorded 1300 bird species have been sighted here. The lake also contains crocodile and hippo. Before you reach Baringo, you will stop at Lake Bogoria at around 9.00am. A local guide will show you around for a couple of hours. Bogoria is a popular stopover for its hot, warm and cold geyser springs, which where formed due to volcanic activities. You will have a picnic lunch at noon and then continue on to Lake Baringo, arriving at 2.30pm. Overnight at the Lake Baringo Hotel.    

Day 7: Baringo - Kakamega Rainforest After an early breakfast at 6.30am, we board the vehicle and drive towards the western part of the country through the town of Kitale town, enjoying a picnic lunch en-route. We will arrive at Kakamega forest at 2.00-3.00pm. Kakamega is a virgin tropical rainforest. It is home to a huge variety of birds (more than 300 species recorded). Casqued hornbills and Ross's touracos and Great Blue touracos are all found here. It is the only place apart from Mt Elgon where the rare De Brazza's monkey can be observed. Other monkey species found here are the Blue monkey, red-tailed monkey,the black and white Colobus, butterfly monkey and the blue monkey. At 4.00pm we will go for a guided evening walk. At 6.00pm you will have returned to the campsite for dinner. Overnight at the campsite.    

Day 8: Kakamega Forest Breakfast will be at 6.30am. You will then enjoy a morning walk in the rainforest accompanied by the ranger/guide, returning to camp at 10.00am. After lunch you have the opportunity to relax or check out the many other walks in the rainforest. Afternoon free. Overnight the campsite.    

Day 9: Kakamega Forest - Kisumu Breakfast will be at 7.00am. You still have time for another morning walk in the forest with the ranger/guide until 10.00am, or just relax at the campsite. We then pack up and drive to the third largest city in Kenya,Kisumu. Arriving at noon, we start exploring the city. Kisumu is an important port on the shore of Lake Victoria, the third biggest freshwater lake in the world. The group will have time to walk along the shore and sample local food, such as Nyama Choma (roasted meat), Kuku Choma (roasted chicken), and Fish choma (roasted fish). This area is home to the secondlargest tribe in the country, the Luo. Overnight at Kisumu Hotel.    

Day 10: Kisumu - Kendu Bay Breakfast will be at 7.30 am. Depart the hotel at 9.00am and head deep into the more traditional side of Kenya. You will visit the legendary Stone (“kit mikaye”). This big rock, sacred to the locals has a unique shape. The locals believe the stone to be a blessing to them, as it is said to be able to cure many diseases. Mothers who have problems breastfeeding are regular worshippers. After about 2 hours at this landmark, we return to Kisumu for lunch. In the afternoon, we drive to the southern part of Lake Victoria and visit the picturesque village of Kendu bay. Overnight at Kendu bay Home stay.  

Day 11: Kendu Bay - Pala Village Breakfast will be at 8.00am, followed by a 9.00am departure to Pala village. Here you will visit the local school and homestead. This is your chance to experience the ‘real life' side of Africa. Feel free to wander amongst the villagers and take in the surrounding rural scenes. Try and strike up a conversation with the locals and enjoy their hospitality. Overnight and dinner at a genuine African homestead. Enjoy a home-made meal and see first hand how the Luo tribesmen live. Overnight at a home stay .    

Day 12: Kogelo Village.   we proceed to Nyang'oma Kogelo is a village in Siaya District, Nyang'oma Kogelo is the ancestral home of Barak Obama Snr the father to U.S.A
